Infidelity

Infidelity, adultery, also called philandering, is a form of extramarital sex or relationship. It originally referred more specifically to sex between a woman/man who was married and a person other than her/his spouse. It typically means engaging in sexual or romantic relations with a person other than one’s significant other, breaking a commitment or promise in the act.

Adultery is sexual intercourse by a married person with someone other than their spouse while infidelity is unfaithfulness in marriage.

Any relationship between two people, in a family, and between employer and employee should have basic trust. It is important to you surround yourself with people you can trust. Any relationship will disintegrate if there no longer is trust. Therefore mutual respect and trust are vital to sustaining that relationship.

Common signs of infidelity that you might want to look for include:

• Improved appearance…
• Secretive phone or computer use…
• Periods where your significant other is unreachable…
• Significantly less, or more, or different sex in your relationship…
• Your partner is hostile toward you and your relationship…
• An altered schedule.
• Friends seem uncomfortable around you
• Unexplained expenses
• Emotional intimacy has faded
• When you ask about cheating, your partner deflects and avoids
• They become pessimistic about your relationship
• Defensiveness
• The excessive need to justify every action
• They are suddenly paying more attention to their looks
• They try to manipulate you
• They are suddenly emotionally detached from you
